With RadioEye® cameras you can set up a CCTV system in the space of a few minutes without technical assistance.
There is no need to make holes in the wall to run metres of coaxial cable between cameras and monitor. The audio/video signal travels via radio, spelling savings on installation, ease of installation and enabling you to make changes to the system in the future, even in the case of a move or structural changes in the setting.
RadioEye® systems are comprised of one or more cameras and one or more receivers.
All you need to do is connect the camera to a mains power supply and the receiver to any kind of television (or monitor), using the cable supplied.
 
Transmission channels. RadioEye® cameras offer 4 transmission channels and come with a built-in switch for channel selection 1,2,3,4. It is not possible to have two cameras on the same site transmitting on the same channel.
Receiver. The video and audio signals are received by a special receiver, which is connected to a TV, monitor or video recorder. There is no other way of receiving images from the camera.
One great advantage of the RadioEye® system, compared to hard-wired solutions, is that you can install more than one receiver on the same site, thereby creating a number of surveillance points without having to lay a single cable.
Maximum range. RadioEye® cameras offer a line-of-sight range of 100 meters.
If you require a longer range you will need to use  directional antennas which offer around double the range,  The range of RadioEye® systems is guaranteed where there are no obstacles (line-of-sight range). The system will still function in the presence of walls or objects between receiver and transmitter, but this would lead to considerable signal loss, lowering the range. (See notes on range).

Camera. Cameras RE-TB2/RE-TC2 are DSE wireless cameras in a classic housing. They come complete with a built-in high sensitivity microphone to pick up audio in medium sized sites. The device has a built-in 4 channel transmitter with a line-of-sight range of 100 m.
On the back of the camera is a switch to select the transmission channel (1/2/3/4), a connector for the antenna and a jack for the power supply. The camera sends audio and video signals via radio and only requires to be hooked up to a power supply using the adaptor supplied. To receive the signal you will need a DSE receiver, which must be ordered separately. The camera can be installed indoors, using the wall-mounted bracket, or outdoors with the dedicated protective housing for wireless cameras (housings).
RadioEye® cameras are available in black/white (RE-TB2) or color (RE-TC2).
Lenses. RadioEye® cameras RE-TB2 and RE-TC2 come fitted with a universal lens which is suitable for quality filming in medium-sized sites. The standard lenses fitted are model RE-080F (RE-TC2) and RE-036S (RE-TB2), but it is also possible to order the camera without a lens and then order any of the DSE range of lenses separately (see table of lenses). Camera RE-TC2 takes all standard CS mount lenses, and model RE-TB2 also takes all mini lenses (RE-xxxS).
PLEASE NOTE. It is not possible to use auto-iris lenses.

Receiver for cameras with analogue transmitter

The RE-RX2A receiver receives the audio/video signal transmitted by the RadioEye® wireless camera using analogue transmitters and has a hard-wired audio/video output to carry the signal to a monitor, TV or video recorder.
A receiver can receive signals from one camera. Up to 4 cameras and 4 receivers can be installed in one system.
If more than one channel is enabled this receiver includes an auto switch function and displays each camera for 4 seconds.
There are 4 dip-switches on the front of the device to select the camera you wish to view. On the back of the device is an audio/video output (with RCA connectors) to connect to a TV set, monitor, video recorder or PC.
It is possible to use more than one receiver in order to create a number of surveillance points, or to obtain an individual video output for each camera, but this will not increase the maximum number of cameras which can be used, which remains 4.
For the outbound A/V connection a cable with RCA connectors is supplied as standard.
For connections to TV sets which only have a SCART plug, you will need to use a SCART/RCA adaptor like RE-SCART1. 
Receiver RE-RX2A comes complete with: 12VDC power adaptor – Omnidirectional antenna - 1.5 m Audio/Video RCA cable.
