These cameras come with an extra strong aluminum casing which protect against shocks and sabotage. 
This robust protection makes them ideal for use in all sites where a camera could be damaged by vandals, such as:
Railway stations
Underground stations
Military sites
Car parks
Vending machines
ATM sites
Unmanned sites in at-risk areas
or simply in any application which requires a strong waterproof camera.

Shock-proof dome housing

These cameras come inside a dome-shaped shock-proof  casing able to withstand considerable impact. Despite being highly robust, the dome container ensures a stylish look from the outside. Ceiling-mounted with cable conduit on base or side, this camera can be also mounted on walls using RE-ST6B mounting bracket.
The casing is waterproof, with a protection rating of IP66, making it suitable for outdoor use.
The base is in die-cast aluminum and the dome is in transparent reinforced polycarbonate, with protective paint.
Size 142 (Diam.) x 84 mm. Weight 500 g.
 

Vandal-proof housing (RE-BCC3)
Camera RE-BCC3 is one of a kind when it comes to sturdiness and heavy-duty protection.
The rugged container features bullet-proof glass able to withstand being hit by a hammer or even a 9 mm bullet.
This level of heavy duty protection makes it ideal for use in sites where willful damage is a possibility.
The swivel bracket allows it to be wall or ceiling mounted.
Size 85 (diam.) x 143 mm. Weight: 1.4 Kg.
This container is not suitable for outdoor use.

Camera
In spite of the small size these cameras are developed to provide the same quality level of bigger cameras. Cameras are available in several versions in order to meet any quality and budget requirements. The following table shows CCD brand, resolution and lux of every model.

Standard models RE-TCC4B and RE-TBC4B are suitable for general purposes. RE-TCC4BH with high resolution is ideal when maximum performance is required. RE-TCC4BL, with Sony ExView CCD is recommended for low light applications. RE-BCC3 camera, with built-in 15 m. infrared illuminator is recommended for 0 lux view.

Lens
All of these cameras feature an S-mount for mini lenses. Impact-resistant DOME cameras are supplied as standard with the 3.6 mm lens RE-036S, while model RE-BCC3 comes with the lens RE-043S. Both lenses offer a wide-angle view suitable for filming close-up.
In any case the cameras are compatible with all DSE mini lenses (Ref. RE-XXXS). For a few models you can order the camera without the lens and buy the lens separately. When considering the viewing angle bear in mind that the RE-TCC4B/RE-BCC3 colour models feature a 1/4 inch CCD and all other models have 1/3" CCD.

Infrared illuminator
Camera RE-BCC3 features a built-in illuminator with a 15 meter range which is automatically activated when darkness falls. The camera includes a day/night function therefore delivers black/white images when the illuminator is on.
The illuminator LEDs are set deep inside the aluminum and protected from any type of external attack. The shock-proof dome cameras do not come with an illuminator, but the B/W model can be used with an external illuminator.

Audio
These cameras do not feature a microphone. If you need to pick up audio you can purchase the external microphone which connects between the camera and the audio/video cable.

Wiring and installation
Like the other hard-wired cameras, these cameras can be connected directly to a TV or a monitor using an audio/video cable (Audio OUT and Video OUT). 
Cables come out from the rear of the casing. A 50 cm cable includes:  12 VDC power supply (5 mm jack positive central) and the video cable (Dome: female RCA - RE-BCC3: female BNC).
For the power supply you can use a stabilized 500 mA 220VAC/12VDC power adaptor such as RE-AL4S (not included).
To connect the camera to the monitor or TV we offer a 20 m cable RE-CT1, which comes ready-fitted with RCA terminals for audio/video and a power jack. If you need to cover a longer distance you will need to use RG59 coaxial cable.
By connecting the camera to an external transmitter such as RE-DTX1, with latest digital technology, the video signal can be transmitted without wires.
