**** OUT OF PRODUCTION ****
The end of the era of analog video recording
For many years DSE supplied its
clients with excellent
time
lapse video cassette recorders for video surveillance. These sophisticated
appliances were able to store up to 960 hours of recordings on a normal
video cassette. But although these devices were a vital part of all CCTV
systems for many years, the advent of digital video recorders has made them
obsolete in the short space of time.
Modern DVRs deliver better quality video, greater recording capacity,
endless software options, and above all do not require the constant
maintenance that was always a major problem with VCRs in constant use.
Digital
video recording
In
March 2006, DSE launched its budget DVR DR-M4, removing the final
advantage of analog video recorders – the lower price.
The
DR-M4 digital video recorder
costs
around the same as a time-lapse VCR and offers you much much more:
Superior
resolution
More
frames/second at the same recording capacity
4
simultaneous video inputs can be handled without an external quad or
multiplexer
Motion
detection to activate recording only in the event of an intrusion
Quick
search for images of interest
No
need to replace cassettes at regular intervals
No
maintenance and long life span

All this, in a simple, user-friendly device.
DR-M4 can be connected to any analog monitor or TV and controlled directly
from a keypad using the familiar controls PLAY, STOP, REC etc.
