The use of wireless technology makes
RadioEye® cameras particularly suitable for hidden camera applications.
This page features RadioEye® wireless cameras for concealment, ready to be
hidden inside any kind of object. All these cameras include an analogue transmitter for video/audio. Wireless receiver must be purchased separately.
Wireless cameras Ready-To-Hide
These wireless cameras can be hidden
just about anywhere.
The product features two connected elements:
A
colour or black/white mini-camera, with audio, measuring 25x25x19 mm,
not much larger than a coin
A
mini RadioEye® analogue transmitter with flexible antenna
The elements are connected by means of ultra
flexible cable, and can easily fit into a cigarette packet. All you need to
do is connect up the power supply (a 220VAC/12VDC power adaptor is
supplied).
These cameras can be hidden anywhere: for example in an electrical appliance
such as a radio, fan, TV or wall clock, inside a junction box or electrical
plug, or inside any hollow object, even a simple office file.
how to conceal the camera
The camera
The cameras used for this application are DSE hard-wired
mini-cams fitted with a pin-hole lens or
minilens.
These cameras feature high quality CCD and guarantee high luminosity in all
conditions, thanks to an electronically-controlled shutter specially
designed for use with mini-lenses.
The transmitter
The standard version of the camera offers a line of sight range
of 100 meters and 4 transmission channels which can be selected by means of
a jumper or switch.
Maximum range
The range of a RadioEye system is guaranteed where there are no obstacles
(line of sight range). The system will still work if there are walls or
other objects in the way, but there will be a considerable loss of signal
and this shortens the range (See notes on range).
It is essential to use RadioEye® cameras within their range and according to
the installation instructions in order to obtain a video image comparable to
that of a hard-wired camera.
Microphone
All DSE mini cams have a built-in high sensitivity microphone.
The
available lenses
RadioEye® cameras for concealed use can
be fitted with various lenses so as to ensure the optimum image quality in
each situation.
Flat
pin-hole lens (RE-TBH5/RE-TCH5)
This
type of lens, specifically designed for concealed use, is able to film
through a 1 mm hole. It is therefore perfect for cameras which are
completely invisible, even on close inspection. The flat shape ensures
minimum bulk for the camera and means it can be hidden in small objects.
Cameras RE-TBH5 and RE-TCH5 are supplied as standard with the flat
wide-angle pin-hole lens RE-036P. Alternatively it is possible to purchase
the camera without a lens (RE-TBH5X/RE-TCH5X) and order the lens RE-063P,
more suited to filming at a distance (see table on
lenses).
Conical
pin-hole lens (to be ordered separately)
This
is similar to the previous lens but conical in shape, with a number of
advantages and disadvantages. The advantage of this shape is that it is
easier to position nearer the hole you are filming through. If the surface
where it is to be hidden is curved, thick or rough it will be easier to
position the lens. The disadvantage is that it increases the width of the
camera by around 4 mm. For this version you will need to order a camera
without lens (RE-TBH5X/RE-TCH5X) and order lens RE-036PC, wide-angle lens
for filming close-up, or lens RE-062PC, more suitable for filming at a
distance (see table on lenses).
Mini
lens (RE-TBH6/RE-TCH6)
Using
a mini lens rather than the aforementioned pin-hole models offers greater
luminosity and image quality. It should be noted that these lenses require a
hole of at least 7/8 mm in diameter for filming and therefore the camera
will not be completely invisible. These cameras should be hidden on the
ceiling, positioned in an inaccessible location. If you require this option
you should order a camera without lens (RE-TBH6X/RE-TCH6X) then order the
DSE mini-lens with the appropriate viewing angle.
The
product includes:
Camera with lens and transmitter
220VAC/12VDC power adaptor RE-AL4
Receiver for cameras with analogue
transmitter
RE-RX2A The RE-RX2A receiver receives the audio/video signal
transmitted by the RadioEye®
wireless camera using analogue transmitters and
has a hard-wired audio/video output to carry the signal to a monitor, TV or
video recorder.
A receiver can receive signals from one camera. Up to 4 cameras and 4
receivers can be installed in one system. If more than one channel is
enabled this receiver includes an auto switch function and displays each
camera for 4 seconds.
There are 4 dip-switches on the front of the device to select the camera you
wish to view. On the back of the device is an audio/video output (with RCA connectors) to
connect to a TV set, monitor, video recorder or PC.
It is possible to use more than one receiver
in order to create a number of surveillance points, or to obtain an
individual video output for each camera, but this will not increase the
maximum number of cameras which can be used, which remains 4.
For the outbound A/V connection a cable with RCA connectors is supplied as
standard.
For connections to TV sets which only have a SCART plug, you will need
to use a SCART/RCA adaptor like
RE-SCART1. Product includes:
Receiver for analogue transmitters
Antenna
220V/12V
power adaptor
1.5 m. RCA AV cable
