This
device converts an analog audio/video signal from a camera, video recorder,
switcher, quad-splitter etc, into a VGA signal which can be connected to a
PC monitor. In this way you can use a relatively cheap PC monitor as a CCTV
monitor.

RE-USB1 - USB video

This device enables you to connect an analog audio/video signal from
a camera, video recorder, switcher, quad-splitter etc, to any PC using the
USB port.
The compact size and low power consumption means it is ideal for use with a
laptop.
RE-USB1 is extremely simple to use.
First you connect the video source to the RCA or S-Video connector of
the converter and the audio source to the LINE IN socket of the PC
audio card. Then all you need to do is put RE-USB1 into one of the
computer’s USB ports and install the drivers and software supplied. No power
is needed, as RE-USB1 is powered through the USB port.
You can immediately view video images in the software window at full D1
resolution 720x576 at a real-time rate of 25 f/sec.
Double click and the images are pulled up to full screen.
The software supplied enables you to record the film and save it in AVI
format or with MPEG1, MPEG2 or MPEG4 compression. You can also take
photos in JPEG or BMP format and save them onto your Hard Disk.
The product requires a PC with USB2 ports and Windows 2000 (SP4), XP (SP2)
or VISTA operating system.
