Speed dome cameras for
outdoor surveillance are designed for wall or pole mounting and can be
installed outdoor without protection. They are ideal for monitoring
outdoor areas when remote control of the camera is required.
These cameras can turn in any direction and zoom in and out according to the
commands of the operator. They can also make predefined automatic movements.
Main characteristics
Waterproof aluminum housing
These cameras come with an IP66 waterproof casing that can be installed outdoor.
The casing is made of die-casted aluminum with polycarbonate dome cover.
The wall or pole mounting bracket is not included and must be
purchased separately (see brackets for speed dome)
Up to 256 cameras on RS485 BUS
Speed dome cameras are controlled by means of a twisted pair cable (RS485 BUS) that connects all cameras in series and can be up to 1200 m. long.
Each camera has its own switch programmable ID code, so can be controlled
independently.
Up to 256 camera can be connected on one bus and controlled from remote using control keyboards or DVR.
Cameras also come with BNC female connector for video and 12VDC plug for power.
Fast and precise mechanism
These cameras are called High Speed Domes because they are able
to move much faster than standard speed domes. The Pan Tilt head
turns up to 300°/sec horizontal speed (PAN) and
150°/sec vertical speed (TILT). The speed of the movement
can vary according to the pressure on the control joystick and
also adjusts automatically according to the zoom ratio of the
lens. The moving head chassis is made of steel in order to
provide long term reliability even in constantly turning
applications.
Zoom lens with autofocus
These camera come with a power zoom that the operator can control from remote.
SD-A27EX features 27x optical zoom which is suitbale for
both small and large areas.
All cameras feature a precise autofocus system (can be switch
to manual if required)
in order to adjust the focus automatically according to the
target distance.
Auto-Flip
DSE speed dome cameras have the auto-flip function so can turn automatically 180° in order to follow
movements that turn over 90° on the vertical axis.
High resolution and day/night function
These cameras are based on ¼” colour SONY SuperHAD high
resolution CCD and provide 540 TV lines resolution.
All cameras include Day and Night function and give color video during the day
and B/W video when light drop down.
IR illuminator
In night mode these cameras are compatible with IR
illuminators for viewing in the dark.
PRESET and TOUR
These cameras can store predefined positions, generally called PRESET, each of them identified by specific XY coordinates, zoom level and focus adjustment.
Preset can be called by keyboard just digiting the ID
number. It is also possible to configure automatic TOUR (also
called CRUISE) among several preset. SD-A27EX - Max
256 preset - 8 tour
Panoramic SCAN
Speed dome cameras can also move constantly among 2 predefined limits in order to provide a panoramic view of large areas.
SD-A27EX - Max 4 programmable SCAN
PATTERN recording
DSE Speed domes can record any custom-made sequence that can be re-called by keyboard and be executed automatically.
This function is generally known like PATTERN recording.
SD-A27EX - Max 4 programmable PATTERNS
Speed dome control
The cameras in the SD range can be controlled using dedicated
keyboards with joystick
which are very convenient to use.
Alternatively they can be controlled using
DR series DVR and
D-Vision PC boards.
DVR's efficiently replace the control keyboard and enable remote control
by PC and over the Internet even by mobile phones. DSE speed domes commands are based on the very common
PELCO P/D protocol and can therefore be controlled with other
equipment from other manufacturers.
Installation and wiring
These cameras can be directly connected to a TV or
monitor using a cable. You can use the
ready-to-use 20 m cable RE-CT1 (video+audio+power), or for longer distances
some coaxial cable such as CV-RG59 in rolls of
100 m.
The camera takes a 12 VDC power supply. To convert 220V mains power into 12
V, a min. 2000 mA 220VAC/12VDC adaptor such as
RE-AL5 is used. In case you
prefer to power the cameras from a single power point you can use a cabinet power supply unit like RE-RE-AL10.
If you need to control more than one camera you can
connect them to a multi channel digital video recorder.
If the camera is connected to an external transmitter like
RE-DTX1,
the video signal can be transmitted without wires.
If you wish, you can connect the camera directly to a LAN network and
make it accessible by PC via browser. An
IP video server is
required which can manage video and controls.
For those with less experience, or needing to refresh their knowledge,
the tutorial section
contains a number of lessons explaining how to wire and install a hard-wired
CCTV system correctly.
NOTE: These cameras are supplied without power supply unit and without
wall mounting bracket. They must be purchased separately if required
