 RE-TCN9XH - Ready-to-hide camera

Specifically designed for hidden use
This camera can easily be hidden inside any kind of object or even among clothing. Compared to generic pin-hole cameras, which can play a similar function more cheaply (see models RE-TCC3/RE-TBC3), model RE-TCN9XH offers several benefits:
High resolution 550 TV lines.  Exceptionally sharp, detailed, colour images. Excellent results even in low light.
Separate microphone. A highly sensitive microphone which can be positioned in the best place for listening.
From 5 to 12VDC power supply. Various power supplies can be used: 12VDC power adaptor (RE-AL4S – not supplied), 9V transistor battery, or directly from pocket video recorder DR-PV500/1000.
Mimetic lens. The front of the lens is an interchangeable mimetic element (button or screw), for perfect concealment even on close inspection.

The camera
The camera uses a high resolution (550 TV lines) colour SONY SuperHad CCD. Despite the size of the pin-hole lens, the camera is able to film even in low lighting thanks to a high-end electronic shutter and a high signal/noise ratio (over 48 dB).
The camera measures only 26x22 mm, is extremely light and the cable conduit is low down in order to reduce bulk.

The microphone
The camera comes with a separate, highly sensitive microphone, which can be positioned wherever is most convenient. The microphone has been designed to pick up audio signal in an average size room even through clothes or objects.

The lens
The camera has a 4.3 mm PIN-HOLE lens which offers excellent wide-angle vision through a 1 mm hole . This unique lens comes with a removable element on top which make the lens to look like a button or a screw. The following mimetic options are available:
Jacket front button
Jacket sleeve button
Shirt button
Phillips screw
Allen screw
Each type of masking element is supplied as a set of 5, to enable, for example, all the buttons on a jacket to be replaced, with one concealing the camera.
These masking elements enable the camera to be totally concealed both in a fixed location or in clothing, and ensure that the correct position is maintained.
It is also possible to use the lens without masking, simply by placing it behind a hole.

Power supply
Another interesting feature of this camera is its variety of possible power supplies. The camera can be powered from 5 to 12 VDC. It can be powered using a 220VAC12VDC adaptor like RE-AL4S (not supplied), or a 9V transistor battery with several hours running time, and is ideal for portable applications (battery case with external ON/OFF switch included).
At the end of the camera cable is a compact minijack, and also supplied is an adaptor with connectors for the power supply and RCA audio/video outputs.
When a pocket video-recorder DK-PV500/1000 is used, the internal power supply of the recorder powers the camera.

 RE-TCN9CH -  Tie camera

RE-TCN9CH  Camera RE-TCN9XH (see above) but professionally concealed in a tie. The camera films front-on through a tiny hole which is invisible even close-up.
It features a special fixing system which guarantees clear images even while moving. Resolution 450 TV lines.

 RE-TCN9SH -  Snake camera - Flex type

The camera RE-TCN9SH is similar to the model RE-TCN9XH but comes with a SNAKE type pin-hole lens.
The CCD and the lens are separated and connected to the camera board by a flexible cable. The lens unit is very small (12x12x19 mm only) and can be easily mounted in tiny places.
The unit includes a high sensitivity microphone.
Unlike the previous models, the RE-TCN9SH lens focus can be adjusted, if required, to very short distance. This makes the camera ideal for filming very closed objects, like in text analysis or medical applications.

 RE-TCC3SN -  Snake camera - Goose Neck type

Like the previous model RE-TCN9SH this RE-TCC3SN is a SNAKE camera with the lens separated from the camera body. Anyway the lens it is not connected by a flexible cable but via a "Goose Neck" bracket that can be easily shaped by hand. The Goose Neck is about 50 cm long.
This camera is ideal for several applications, such as industrial inspections, cars check and in general all the time that it is required to watch from a point of view which cannot be reached. The camera comes with a stand bracket for wall table mounting in case it is required.
Resolution: 420 TV lines.

Pocket video recorders DK-PV500/1000
Camera RE-TCN9XH/SH/CH can be connected stright into the DSE pocket video-recorder DK-PV500/1000. The camera minijack fits directly into the videorecorder and the camera is powered directly by the internal battery of the video-recorder.
The combination of camera RE-TCN9HX and video-recorder DK-PV500/1000 creates a high quality stand-alone video recording device small enough to fit into a pocket.
