With RadioEye® digital
wireless cameras you can set up a high quality CCTV system without using
cables between cameras and DVR. Using the new DSE FHSS digital
transmitters these cameras provide 100% noise-free video and the
same image quality of hardwired systems. With DSE digital wireless
cameras your surveillance system will be ready in a matters of minutes with
no wiring cost.
The camera
Inside the RW-TCC4D there is a RE-TCC4
mini-cameras. Detailed description of this camera can be found on
mini-cameras page. The plastic
housing (RE-C5) is designed
for indoor ceiling mount. Here are the main feature of this camera:
1/4" SHARP color CCD 380 TV lines resolution
IP 40 dome housing Diam. 132 x H 89 mm.
3.6 wide angle mini-lens (replaceable)
Compatible with all DSE mini-lens M12 mount
12VDC power supply
These cameras are ideal for ceiling mount in any indoor
environment. The 3.6 mm wide angle lens supplied standard with the camera is
suitable to most applications. The camera can be also purchased without lens
(Ref. RW-TCC4DX) in order to buy the lens separately. This camera is
suitable for all S mount mini-lens in the
DSE lens range from power
zoom RE-250S to fish-eye OM-014SIR for very small rooms. The on-board
microphone cannot be used because of the hausing.
The digital transmitter
RW
cameras come with a built-in RE-DTX1 digital transmitter. RE-DTX1 is
the state-of-the-art in wireless transmission of analogue video and you can
find more information on the
digital
transmitters page.
Unlike old style transmitters which transform the analogue
signal in a RF transmission, this state-of-the-art digital transmitters
convert the analogue signal in a digital video and send out a wireless
video stream. The RE-DRX1 receiver re-decodes the digital video in an analogue
output in such a way that any PAL monitor or DVR can be connected. The great
advantage of digital transmission is the interference-free video quality,
which is really equal in terms of resolution and stability to a
hard-wired camera.
RE-DTX1
transmitters
operate over the free 2.4 GHz band as most wireless equipment.
In order to
avoid interferences with other systems on the same frequency, such as
Wi-Fi network for example, these transmitters use FHSS technology
(Frequency-Hopping Spread Spectrum). FHSS technology is a radio transmission
technique where transmitter and receiver change their frequency regularly
on a random basis. FHSS allows 3 main advantages:
Absolute interference-free signal
Not perturbing other 2.4 GHz systems in the area (wi-fi
etc.)
Not possible to receive the signal without the right receiver
RE-DTX1
are high security equipment designed to avoid any access which is not
authorized. The transmitter unit communicates only with its own receiver
using GFSK modulation and a random ID code technique. The
wireless video signal cannot been received by any receiver other than
its own.
The digital receiver
In order to receive the video streaming from any RW
RadioEye digital camera you need an RE-DRX1 digital receiver. Each camera
requires one receivers being the transmission ID coded in such a way that
one camera cannot be received by more than one device.
Transmitter and receiver are supplied already paired by factory
so no operation is required to make them work together. A pairing procedure
is anyway available in case it is required for maintenance purpose.
Transmission range and number of channels
The maximum operating distance between transmitter and
receiver is 150 m. in open air line-of-sight. This performance can be
increased by using directional antennas
RE-YG1A/2A on the receiver instead of the standard ones. The presence of obstacles
between the antennas effect the range dramatically, therefore it is
recommended to reduce the number of obstacles as much as possible and in any
case not to exceed 3/4 walls. An icon on the corner of the video
indicates the power of the wireless signal in real time.
For more information on the radio transmission range of DSE systems, please
read the
tutorial on wireless system range. FHSS technology allows to install
several RE-DTX1 in the same place without they interfere each other. In any
case it is recommended not to install over 10 units on the same
site.
Installation
The RW cameras do not require any cabling except
connecting the power. This unit can be powered at 12VDC and
a 220VAC power adaptor is included. The receiver is usually placed next
to the monitor or DVR. It comes with 1 m video cable with RCA male
connector and needs 5VDC power. Adaptor is included.
