The production of Digital Video Recorders with JPEG2000 compression has been discontinued.
The static video compression technologies, whose maximum expression has been the JPEG2000 format, permitted for several years the production of high quality and very
dependable video recorders.
Nevertheless the dynamic compression technologies MPEG4 and H264 made the previous formats
obsolete providing similar video quality and much lighter video streaming.
Latest generation H264 DSE DVR's provide high quality video, takes very little storage space, and are able to send very light video streaming over LAN or Internet.
More efficient compression format means also much easier back-up/copy operations.
