The cameras in this range are digital network cameras, also known as IP cameras. With these cameras you can create a fully digital video surveillance system running on a LAN. Each camera has a network port and can be assigned an IP address, just like a computer. You can view your cameras from a PC or smartphone, or purchase a network video recorder (NVR) to manage them all conveniently. Unlike fixed cameras, the models in this range are motorized (PTZ), and you can remotely control their pan, tilt and zoom from a PC, NVR or app. To learn more about IP video surveillance systems, watch our video tutorials alongside.
The cameras in this range are fully motorized. They are called PTZ because they can rotate horizontally (PAN) and vertically (TILT), and they also have a motorized autofocus lens (ZOOM). The range includes several camera designs with different movement capabilities.

All the motorized cameras in this range feature Artificial Intelligence and HUMAN DETECTION. Human detection is very different from standard motion detection: it is not triggered simply by changes in pixels, but only when the intruder is a person. These cameras therefore ignore animals and objects moved by the wind, detecting only real people for much more reliable results. The function can also be used while the camera is moving. The detection algorithm analyzes body shape and movement, so it can also detect masked intruders. In the event of an intrusion, you can activate email, FTP and push notifications.
The motorized cameras in this range include another highly useful feature designed to work with human detection: tracking, or autotracking. The motorized camera automatically pans, tilts and zooms, following the person as they move through the monitored area. This useful feature captures close-up, highly relevant images in the event of an intrusion.
The motorized cameras in this range have a built-in weatherproof microphone and speaker. You can listen clearly from a PC, app or NVR and also speak hands-free with anyone in front of the camera. This is extremely convenient when monitoring an entrance. You can detect a person, follow them with autotracking and speak to them using two-way audio. The speaker can also play prerecorded messages or alarm sounds when an intruder is detected.
For recording in complete darkness, these PTZ cameras feature infrared LEDs that provide invisible night illumination for black-and-white images up to 120 meters. The illuminator switches on automatically at night, with a range that varies by model. Thanks to Smart IR technology, LED output adapts to the subject's distance, preventing overexposure in close-ups. Some models also feature white LEDs, producing natural floodlight-style illumination for color night images and acting as a deterrent when configured to switch on only upon detection. All cameras in this range use high-performance Superflux LEDs, delivering powerful illumination with relatively low energy consumption.
These PTZ cameras feature a remotely controlled motorized zoom lens. The range includes several optical zoom options from 4x to 36x. The lens has autofocus to focus automatically on subjects at any distance. For our PTZ cameras, we always state the lens's true optical zoom. Be cautious of low-cost speed dome cameras advertised online with powerful zoom: less reputable manufacturers often inflate zoom figures by adding digital zoom to the lens's actual optical zoom.
These motorized IP cameras support POE+ power (IEEE802.3at) and can therefore be installed using a single network cable, without a separate power supply. This feature is rarely found on other motorized cameras, which often require a separate power supply due to their higher power consumption. To power these cameras through the network cable, you need a switch or injector supporting the POE+ standard (IEEE802.3at), such as our POE switches. Do not confuse POE+ with standard POE. All our switches support both POE and POE+ and supply up to 30W per port, whereas generic switches may support only standard POE (IEEE802.3af), limited to 15W per port and unsuitable for these cameras. POE power is highly convenient because it lets you connect the camera with a single network cable carrying video, audio, power and control signals.
All cameras in this range are weatherproof, with an IP66 protection rating. They can be installed indoors or outdoors in the rain. We do not use inexpensive plastic enclosures for our PTZ cameras, only rugged die-cast aluminum housings with a baked finish. You can therefore install the cameras anywhere without concern about ambient temperature or corrosion. Every camera in this range uses Black Glass at the front; besides its appearance, it improves LED efficiency by approximately 8% compared with ordinary glass and attracts fewer nocturnal insects.
Like all our motorized cameras, these models can perform automatic movements. You can configure 220 PROGRAMMABLE PRESETS to recall specific positions quickly and 8 TOURS, or CRUISES, to monitor several presets in sequence. Presets and tours can be recalled easily from an NVR, PC or app, and you can set a HOME position to which the camera returns automatically when no operator commands are received.
The motorized IP cameras in this series provide 5MP video resolution. 2MP, also known as 1080P or Full HD (1920x1080 pixels), is the current high-definition digital TV standard and meets the needs of most security systems. Our 5MP models provide better recognition of distant subjects and sharper detail when images are enlarged.
You can purchase our IP network cameras with confidence. DSE is one of the very few Italian companies to be a member of ONVIF, the international association that brings together leading manufacturers and defines communication standards for IP security equipment. Our IP cameras comply fully with the latest ONVIF standard, so YOU CAN USE THEM WITH ALL ONVIF NVRs, including other brands. ONVIF defines all zoom and pan/tilt control commands, allowing you to control our PTZ IP cameras with any standards-compliant device.
Our motorized IP cameras support the latest H265 and H264 video compression formats, including their newest variants, delivering high-quality yet lightweight video streams with minimal bandwidth usage. The cameras can manage 2 VIDEO STREAMS with different compression and resolution settings, selectable according to the connected device. Choose the established H264 format for maximum compatibility with all NVRs, or use the newer, more efficient H265 format to minimize bandwidth and disk space. Alongside, you can download two similar clips in H264 and H265 format and compare their file sizes.
Every computer on the network is an ideal monitor for RK Series cameras. No software installation is required: simply open your preferred Internet browser. Thanks to plug-in-free access, these cameras support all browsers. You can VIEW live images and control camera PTZ movements. You can RECORD, take snapshots and perform digital ZOOM by dragging the mouse. An English menu lets you CONFIGURE all device operating options. You can also PLAY BACK videos stored in the device by searching for the required date and time. All our RK Series devices also support RTSP, allowing you to view live video with common players such as VLC.
IOVEDO.RK - MONITORING SOFTWARE
Our free IoVedo.RK software lets you monitor all our RK Series devices from a computer: cameras, NVRs, DVRs and kits. Use it on the local network via the device IP address or over the Internet via its serial number, thanks to our P2P CLOUD server.
You can VIEW LIVE up to 64 cameras together and save CUSTOM VIEWS combining images from many remote devices. You can PLAY BACK videos stored on the device and DOWNLOAD files, as well as control PTZ camera movements.
Like all our systems, IoVedo.RK supports ONVIF, so it can also receive images from THIRD-PARTY ONVIF CAMERAS, allowing you to reuse IP cameras you already own.
With our free DSE IoVedo.RK app for Android and iOS, you can control the cameras from a smartphone or tablet. Use the app on your Wi-Fi network by entering the camera's IP address, or over the Internet using its CLOUD ID. You can VIEW up to 16 cameras live, RECORD, take snapshots and use two-finger digital ZOOM. You can control PTZ camera MOVEMENTS and zoom, including presets and cruises. You can control your cameras over the Internet from a smartphone or computer. Each camera has an ID number and is registered on our P2P cloud server, which you can use free of charge without limits. PEER-TO-PEER (P2P) technology connects you over the Internet in seconds, even without a static IP address and without changing router settings. Our P2P cloud also lets you use these cameras over cellular or satellite Internet connections.
These devices can also save recorded images to Google Cloud. Web storage keeps important images safe from intruders. To use cloud storage, purchase space on Google Cloud and enter the connection credentials in the device configuration. You can save alarm images on the web, but not continuous recordings.

During installation, you will need to change the cameras' factory IP address. Our free IPTool.RK software makes this quick and easy and works with all our RK Series IP cameras, DVRs and NVRs. IPTool.RK finds and displays every camera connected to the network regardless of its IP settings, and configures it for your network in just a few clicks.

These cameras are designed to work with a network video recorder, also known as an NVR. You can use any ONVIF NVR available on the market. For a new system and perfect compatibility, we recommend our RK Series NVRs. The NVR lets you control every movement of your motorized cameras locally with a mouse or remotely via the web from a PC or smartphone.
Many cameras in this series have an onboard microSD card slot. You can insert a microSD card up to 512GB and record footage directly in the camera. In the camera settings, you can define the time periods and recording modes to use. You can also take scheduled snapshots (every xx seconds, hours or days). When the memory is full, the oldest files are normally overwritten automatically. Even if you have an NVR, we recommend installing an SD card in the camera because it records under all conditions, including network failure or sabotage.
To record your network's IP cameras on a computer, download our free VMS software. It supports all our IP cameras as well as third-party ONVIF IP cameras. Install it on as many computers as you wish and use it either as the main station or as an additional control unit. VMS manages many devices on the local network and displays up to 64 cameras simultaneously in multiple custom views.
SOFTWARE VMS
If you are a software developer, you can integrate our devices seamlessly into your projects. We provide SDK libraries free of charge along with CGI commands for controlling every function from external applications. Video streams can be retrieved using the standard RTSP protocol.

You can control our motorized IP cameras in several ways. Connect from a computer and control the camera with a mouse or the app, or control it through the NVR locally with a mouse or remotely from a PC or smartphone. For a standalone control point with a joystick, IP PTZ controllers are available. Several control units, such as PC, NVR, mobiles etc. can be connected to the network and used as required.
Our PTZ cameras include a wall-mount bracket. Several other installation accessories can be ordered separately. Purchase the ceiling-mount bracket if you wish to suspend the camera. It is not required for micro speed dome cameras, which mount directly to the ceiling. A pole-mount adapter with steel straps and a corner-mount bracket are also available.
