With the same technology developed for our traditional
CCTV systems, we designed this range of video recorders for use on mobile
vehicles. These vehicle DVRs provide all the features and remote connectivity of our best CCTV systems, but combined with the
size, connectors and functions required for mounting on vehicles.
Suitable for AHD/CVBS/IP cameras
The most popular video format for vehicle cameras is the classic analog
video CVBS. This format does not provide a great resolution, but it is often
enough for these applications where the small format of the monitors does not allow to appreciate higher resolutions. Unique in their kind, these vehicle DVRs, in addition to the traditional CVBS format, also allow the connection of 720P AHD cameras and even 720P IP cameras. You can freely choose among the many cameras on the market and make your vehicle system with the ones you prefer.
Mini size DVR for many applications
Being suitable to manage IP and AHD cameras, the same used in home CCTV systems, and
full P2P Internet control make these devices ideal to be used as mini video
recorders for residential systems, boats, campers and wherever you want a
small size DVR.
vehicles DVRs are supplied in a black box that is very small: only
160x120x55 mm. The aluminum casing is equipped with two fixing wings to be easily installed under the dashboard, or in any part of the vehicle is convenient.
Usually this type of devoice is installed in a hidden place so that it can not be
tampered by intruders who may enter the vehicle.
IR remote control with separate
To allow the user convenient control of the functions, the DVRs are equipped
with an infrared remote control. The receiver for the remote control is not
on the DVR but on a cable of about 1.5 m that allows you to place it
conveniently on the dashboard.
The remotely receiver makes these DVRs very suitable for any applications where
the DVR must be hidden and controlled from the outside.
Built-in power supply unit for cameras
In vehicle installations the space to install components is small and it
would be inconvenient to power the cameras like in traditional CCTV systems.
These vehicle DVRs come with one 12VDC power output for each video
channel. Each input consists of a 4-pin connector (included) that allows you
to send power to the camera while receiving the video and audio signal.
You can use a standard 4-conductor cable to connect the camera.

These DVRs are designed to work with mini monitors for vehicles that
require analog video signal.
Also in this case, as for the cameras, the DVR is able to supply 12VDC power supply to the monitor so that only one cable is needed

In addition to the analog monitor output for a small dashboard monitor,
DVRs also have an HDMI monitor output for a TV monitor and a VGA port for a

Multi live view
You can use the IR remote control to choose how the cameras are displayed on the
monitor. You can easily switch between quad cameras and full screen view.
Fuse protected power cable
The DVR come with a power cord for connection to the vehicle control panel. The DVR is suitable for all vehicles, both with 12VDC battery and 24VDC.
If you connect the power supply to the vehicle's ACC output, the DVR will only operate when the vehicle is
running. If, on the other hand, you want the surveillance system to always be operating, even when the vehicle is stationary, you can connect the power supply directly to the battery.
The power cord supplied with the DVR includes the appropriate fuses.
Vehicle DVRs do not come with the classic BNC connectors, typical of traditional CCTV, but
with special screw-on connectors that contain the dimensions and make the connection resistant to

DVR store all the video files on built-in Hard Disks, the same kind of
memories used in Personal Computers.
In order to provide the maximum flexibility, DN video recorders are
supplied without hard disk.
Hard Drive of any brand and up to 4TB capacity can be installed, in
order to tailor the recording capacity to your needs.
Compression can also be adjusted to match your storage requirements. As a
reference 1TB HDD contains 720P videos from 4 cameras for over 15 days with average settings.
The DVR can be set to overwrite older videos when HDD is full.
being DVR for local analog cameras, these videorecorders can be converted in NVR to
manage IP network cameras. In this mode, local BNC inputs on the back panel
are no used since all data flow through the Ethernet port.
fully support the ONVIF protocol for IP cameras (latest version 2.6) thus
are suitable for any IP cameras using this standard.
ONVIF is a very
important international standard in the IP video industry, resulting from
the cooperation among the most important manufacturers.

ONVIF MEMBER LIST). Please note that only ONVIF members have the tools to test the full
product compliance to the most updated ONVIF standards. Please bear
this in mind when you are choosing your IP surveillance provider.
Built-in UTC remote control
Almost all our AHD cameras includes the remote control of the OSD
by UTC technology. DN range DVR includes UTC control in the DVR menu so the
OSD of the camera can be set without needs of external controllers.
Ethernet port suitable for 3/4G
These DVRs have a network port. To use it on a vehicle, you
should buy a small 3/4G router with data sim and use it to connect the DVR to the web.
Alternatively, you can plug a 3/4G dongle into one of the 2 USB ports of the DVR which is able to use it to connect to the Internet.
Connecting the DVR to the web is not essential, but allows you to watch
the live video, playback recordings and receive alarms in case of motion
Networking with Internet Explorer
To connect to your DVR by PC, you need nothing more than the Internet
Explorer browser. You can enjoy live view of the cameras, playback recorded
videos and set up the whole DVR configuration.
By the browser you
can even record the live video streaming on the local drive of your PC.

DVR can record continuously or on a motion detection
The motion detection feature allows these devices to record only in the event of intrusion.
Motion detection can be set individually for each channel and enabled
according to the the time and the day of the week.
These DVR also support
pre/post-alarm recording. They may record video up to 1 minutes before/after
alarm with PUSH

The DVR GUI

According to local privacy law
The regulation on people privacy is different from Country to Country.
Anyway, almost anywhere in the world, the local authorities recommend not to
store videos for too long time.
In order to suit any local requirement,
the HDD overwrite feature of the DVR can be set in DAYS (from 1 to 30).
Once reached the predefined number of days, the DVR automatically start
overwriting the oldest files in the archive.
Connections and wiring
All connections are placed in the
back of the DVR.
You can connect 720P AHD or CVBS analog cameras to these inputs. 2 pins
provide 12VDC power, 1 pin is for video and 1 pin is for audio. These
connectors are not used if the DVR is set to receive IP cameras.
