DK-CS cameras are ready-to-hide investigative cameras. You can hide them yourself in objects of all kinds to make totally invisible and unsuspected video surveillance systems. In our investigation range you will also find cameras already hidden in everyday objects, ready to use. These, however, are "Do It Yourself" hidden cameras . They require a little more work for camouflage, but they allow you to make a really invisible camera, using objects that are already present in the environment.
These DK-CS micro-cameras are really tiny, so they can be hidden in any type of object. The whole camera, with its lens, Sd card and battery, easily gets into a pack of cigarettes. Check the data tables at the bottom of the page to see how small this micro cameras can be. You can hide these cameras anywhere, even wear them among clothes.
The first DK-CS camera we produced was called DK-CS1. It was launched in 2011 and literally created a new market segment from scratch: the DIY (Do It Yourself) spy cameras. DK-CS1 was a revolutionary camera, imitated by all our competitors, mostly Chinese. The lens was integrated into the motherboard and the PCB was covered by an insulating resin coat. Despite the small size, these spy cameras provide 2 MP @ 25 f/s video resolution, like our standard security cameras. The 2MP resolution, also called 1080P or Full HD (1920x1080 pixels), is the current standard of high resolution digital TV. All our mini-cameras with SD memory card come with wide-angle lens providing about 90° coverage. The lens is a pinhole flat lens that can record through a small hole of only 1 mm. To make mounting easier, especially inside small objects, the lens is not embedded in the motherboard, but mounted on a flexible flat cable of about 15 cm.
These cloaking mini-cameras also include audio. All cameras in this range come with a built-in microphone able to cover a medium-sized room. If the surface that hides the camera is not too thick you do not have to make a hole for audio. The audio is recorded together with the video and is also available during live view, in WiFi cameras.
All spy cameras in this range record videos on removable Micro SD cards. Please note that micro SD card is not included. To use these cameras, you must purchase a separate SD card in Class 10 or higher of the maximum capacity that your camera is supporting. Please do not buy slow speed SD cards, like class 4 or 6, because they will not work properly. The maximum storage capacity and SD size depend on the model.

To watch the video files that are stored on the SD card, you must remove the card and plug it into a Personal Computer. If your PC does not have any SD card reader, you can buy online a USB reader, like the one shown in the picture. You can play the movies with common free players, like VLC or Windows Media Player and download the ones you wish to preserve to your PC. Cameras with Wi-Fi also allow you to download video files by mobile phone, without having to remove the card from the camera.
All cameras in this range can record continuously. In CONTINUOUS recording mode, many short video files are stored in the memory, one after the other. Once the memory space is exhausted, the camera goes on recording, and the oldest files are overwritten. The MOTION DETECTION mode allows recording only if movements occur in front of the lens. It is a very convenient function to avoid wasting precious memory space by recording non significant scenes. Cameras with built-in wifi can even perform schedule recording, with programmable time frames. NOTE: Motion recording helps you to save memory space, but does not extend the battery life.
All these spy cameras come with a rechargeable lithium battery (1500/2600 mAh according to model). The standard battery allows recording for several hours as shown in the table. Several optional batteries are available, with lower or higher power. Choose low power batteries if you need small size, or high power batteries if you need longer battery life. The battery is connected to the camera with a small plug connector for easy replacement.

The batteries for these cameras are rechargeable 3.7V Li-ion batteries. When the battery is low you can recharge it by connecting the USB port of the camera to the computer or to a USB charger. The USB cable is included in the package. Full battery charging takes a few hours depending on the battery power. If you want to record continuously, you should buy at least two batteries and the stand-alone battery charger (DK-BCL2) . With this charger you can recharge the batteries without the need of the camera.
All these hideable minicameras can record even if the USB port is connected to a charger. If you buy a USB power adaptor and hide it with the camera you can record continuously, 24 hours a day, without any problems of battery life. Under mains power, you can both disconnect the battery, or leave it there, as a backup in the event of a power failure. In our price list you have several kind of USB adapters to choose from. A very interesting version is the cover mounting USB adapter that is ideal to hide with the camera.
These cameras are often used on cars, hidden in objects on board. You can use the camera with its own battery or connecting the camera to the vehicle battery, with the USB lighter adapter. If you want to record for a long time during parking, you can also connect the camera to the car's fuse box with our vehicle installation kit. The kit consists of a connection cable to be run under the vehicle seals, which includes the transformer and the voltage drop unit. The voltage drop box is a safety device that automatically disconnects the camera before the vehicle's battery runs out. The installation kit includes the splitters to connect to the fuse holders.

Some cameras in this range are equipped with a Wi-Fi transmitter for Smartphone control. If you have not a WiFi network, you can connect your smartphone directly to the Wi-Fi Hot-Spot generated by the camera. Alternatively, you can connect the camera to your home Wi-Fi network and control your spy camera over the Internet with our free P2P cloud server . With our free APP for Android and iOS, you have full control of the cameras with mobile phones or tablets. You can WATCH AND HEAR in real time. You can RECORD and take pictures. You can even PLAY AND DOWNLOAD the video footage in the camera's memory. If you enable Motion Detection you can RECEIVE real time push notification on your mobile phone all the time that an intrusion occurs.
Unlike all the spycams you find on the internet, our wifi investigation cameras are real onvif IP cameras. You can add these cameras to our NVR, along with our standard IP cameras . It is a very important feature in professional use because it allows you to connect these cameras to any onvif management device. On the other hand, amateur spy cameras that you can buy online for little money only work with their specific app and are not suitable for professional use. DSE is one of the very few companies in Italy to be a member of the international ONVIF association that brings together the main manufacturers in the sector and establishes the communication standard between IP security equipment.
If you want to control your wifi hidden cameras via computer, you can download HDSmart software from our website. Just enter your camera ID and login password to connect via the Internet. You can easily control your home from the office , thanks to the P2P cloud server. HDSmart is compatible with all our DK --- HDS series investigative cameras and displays up to 16 cameras simultaneously. It also allows you to record videos and snapshots of what you are watching live.
To make an effective hidden camera you first have to choose a suitable object that possibly has a small aperture, behind which you will set the lens. You can even make a small hole yourself with a 1-2 mm drill bit. We recommend you to choose an object with a thin cover (1 or 2 mm). Then you do not have to make a hole for the microphone and you avoid the edge of the hole falling into the field of view.
While setting up a hidden camera you have to make sure that the camera's pinhole lens is placed exactly behind the shooting hole and stays solidly in this position. To help you in the assembly we developed a magnetic kit with which you can position and remove the camera in a matter of seconds . The kit consists of an metal sticker, to be applied to the surface and a magnetic tape, to be stuck on the flat cable, close to the lens. You can cut the two elements with scissors so that they fit your object perfectly.
If you buy a camera with WiFi, you will have great advantages if you connect it to your home WiFi network. It's an operation that runs easily with our app and lets you control your camera through the Internet, wherever you are. Thanks to our free P2P cloud server , you do not need to configure anything in your router, you just need to know the ID of your camera, which you will find in the package. On first use, you can set a secret access password to protect your privacy. With our app you can watch and listen in real time, playback video recording and even receive instant push notifications if an intrusion occurs.
You can access your spy camera via Internet even if you cannot connect the camera to a local WiFi network. To do that you could connect the camera to your mobile phone (in HotSpot mode) or to a 4G WiFi router. A 4G WiFi router is a small and inexpensive device in which you can insert a data SIM card which is also available with battery power. The hidden camera will access the Internet through the mobile device and you will be able to control it via the web. Put one of our DIY hidden cameras with a 4G wi-fi router inside a box and you will get a portable, web-enabled, hidden camera.
